- I've been drawing as long as I can remember,always had a love of art and nature.It wasn't until I got married that my husband gifted me with an easel and oil paints for Christmas and that started me on a journey 27 years ago that I'm still enjoying.I must say that the oil's aren't my first choice in most of my work ( too slow to dry for me) I work in arcylics and water colors most of the time,but do turn to oils for large paintings and Baptistry scenes.I have a shop behind my house where you can find me 90% of time.If I'm not painting,I'm carving,something I credit my Husband and Daddy for.On a jeep riding trip they took once,they returned with a cyprus knee,they thought I could do something with it.Well it stayed around here for a year or so with me dumb-founded.After my husband learned how to clean it,(boiling it!)I began to paint them,carving didn't come until my Father & Mother got me a carving tool.That was about 10 yrs.ago and it has become my favorite art form.
